Ray Davis is a retired American professional baseball player who played as a shortstop and third baseman in Major League Baseball (MLB). He is best known for his time with the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he was a key member of their World Series championship teams in 1960 and 1971.

Davis was a six-time All-Star, a three-time Gold Glove Award winner, and the National League MVP in 1968. He is considered one of the greatest shortstops in baseball history and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991.
